[Tutorial] Generate image, video using ComfyUI

Now I create my own AI image on my computer

Usually, when making images or videos with AI, I think of paid subscription services such as Kling, Grok, Nano banana. But what if the monthly subscription fee is overwhelming? There is a way to create unlimited, free using the resources of my computer.

⚠️ Notice: Depending on personal computer specifications (especially graphics card VRAM), the speed and quality of creation can vary greatly. We recommend that you check your PC environment first.

The most popular open-source tools at the moment are Stable Diffusion (SD) and ComplyUI. I'd like to focus on ComplyUI, which I feel is the most powerful of them all.

Now, you might be thinking: 'Wait, don't I need a super expensive graphics card for this?' Not necessarily! As of 2026, thanks to incredible optimization, it has been confirmed that you can run certain models even on a GTX 1060.

However, there is one crucial requirement: your System RAM. To ensure a smooth experience without your PC crashing, you should have at least 16GB of RAM.

Of course, with a lower-end GPU, speed will require some patience (perfect time to go grab a cup of coffee!).

Why ComplyUI?

Compared to the Stable Diffusion WebUI that many use, the biggest attraction of the ComplyUI is 'Flexibility'.

Stable Diffusion WebUI: Feeling like a 'finished washing machine' that moves within a set button and setting.

ComplyUI: It feels like a "lego block" where I connect the function I want directly to a block called a node.

At first glance, you might be scared, "It looks complicated like a circuit diagram." But this complexity is freedom.

"As you can see, ComfyUI operates by connecting different functions with lines—a system we call a 'Workflow.' The best part? You don't have to build everything from scratch. There are countless amazing templates created by experts worldwide ready for you to use!

Install Guide

Instead of a long, complicated manual, I highly recommend following the official ComfyUI Desktop Installation Guide. It is the most detailed and well-organized resource available for beginners.

Good!

Done with the installation? Congratulations! You’ve just set up a powerful AI engine on your own PC. It might look like a blank canvas right now, but you’re only one step away from creating professional-grade visuals.

In the next post, we’ll dive into the real magic: "Your First Text-to-Image with Z-Turbo." I’ll show you how to pick the right 'Model' (the soul of AI) and share a special workflow that generates high-quality images in seconds.
